Founded in the mid 1970s, Intertoy originated in Chicago USA, and went on to become the no.1 company in our field, launching American toy companies into international markets. This included businesses like Thinkway, Galoob, Trendmaster with brands such as Micro Machines, The A Team, Bionic Man, Care Bears – household names from the era.

Intertoy then moved to the UK, based in an idyllic setting in Yorkshire, and is established and respected, with global recognition.

History

We are responsible for launching companies like Moose, Character PLC and Cepia, building brands to international global powerhouses including Trash Pack, Mighty Beans, Zhu Zhu Pets, Peppa Pig and Stretch Armstrong.

Jon has over 35 years experience in the toy industry, working with Bluebird Toys in his early career in the late 1980s, forging a successful career moving onto Fisher Price, Mattel where he built his reputation of professionalism. From Mattel he became a Director of Ravensburger in the UK, before setting up the IMC business in the UK market in 2004. In 2010 he moved to the international business, purchasing Intertoy and growing the company to what it is today!

With over 25 years of experience within the toy industry, James joined Intertoy in 2011 having held senior sales positions at Playmobil as a National Account Manager covering all channels and Mattel prior to that learning from the best within our industry. Managing a multitude of territories within our business and responsible for developing new channels in the markets we operate and beyond, a real team player who likes a game of rugby when not selling toys and a fine wine after!

An experienced professional who has worked in the International toy industry for over a decade, having previously worked in the UK toy business for 10 years in a Senior National Accounts role. Responsible for managing the business across major European markets and a specialist in these areas, with a proven track record in sales and building relationships in both mature and developing markets. A keen sportsman who manages his business with the same enthusiasm and tenacity, whether building brands or competing in the squash courts, a true winner.

David Diamond based in Australia has worked in the toy industry for 32 years. Started with the largest toy distributor in South Africa Prima Toys then moved to work with Hasbro in London and then Hasbro Asia Pacific region. David spent 10 years with Hasbro Asia Pacific (1990 – 2000) managing the Asia Pacific region, opened Hasbro offices in some countries and worked with distributors in other regions. David had been working with Intertoy for 22 years managing the Asia Pacific and South Africa regions.

Joshua Punin, based in Australia, started his career with Microsoft. Joshua then joined the toy industry and has been working with Intertoy for 17 years specialising in China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, India markets. He has extensive experience in developing and managing sales and marketing programs to each market with skills in solution sales, planning, developing and market feasibilities.
